Comments Thread For: Bermane Stiverne: Chris Arreola is Tailor-Made For Me!

Bermane Stiverne already handled Chris Arreola with ease. Why would the second time around be any different?

Stiverne (23-1-1, 20 KOs) is seeking to become the first Haitian-born heavyweight champion in history when he faces Arreola on May 10 (ESPN) in a rematch of their one-sided encounter from April 2013.

Well then lets hope he learned something from that first fight and tee's off with some uppercuts since you swing so wide and lead with your face. The thing about Bermane is that he hits so hard if you take time going to the body you might end up eating something...but that he's there to eat uppercuts if you step back and then throw it cause he's coming for ya.

He's right. The only two things that Arreola does well is punch and take a punch. Other than that, he is a very limited fighter skill wise. His only chance is for Stiverne, to exchange and trade punches toe to toe with him; Which is something he is too wise to do.

Arreola's success was mostly due to him bullying fighters inside the ring with his aggressiveness and power. He can't do that against a good big man like Stiverne who can both hit hard and box. Arreola's best chances are to come out aggressive and not try to box Stiverne.

2001 National Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Champion ... I'd say the guy definitely knows how to box but probably too lazy to hone defensive skills early in his pro career. He's confident about his one punch KO ability, so he just fights to his preference. The Nightmare underestimated Stivern last time out, this time ... Chris KOs him.

What? Leading with his face? You can't be serious, Arreola was the only one leading with his face in that first fight, evident from the look of Arreola face when the fight was over. Bermane boxed beautifully the whole fight.

Stiverne wins again, no matter what shape Arreola is in.

I love Fury, but I gotta go with the home town guy in Stiverne if they ever met.

As for this fight I believe Stiverne may as well stop him.
