The fight was a rematch of their infamous December 1998 encounter in Miami, in which Rahman controlled the bout for almost nine full rounds before getting dropped clearly after the bell. The referee never gave Rahman proper time to recover and Tua hammered away at Rahman in the 10th, until the contest was eventually stopped and the muscular Samoan was awarded the TKO win.

"It's the same old stuff, I can't beat this David Tua," a disgusted Rahman after the decision was announced. "I beat him twice and I don't have a win on my record. I'm speechless."

The only loss Rahman has is to Lennox Lewis and Maskaev, no other loss is convincing

I had it 8 rounds to 4 for Rahman. He swept the first four, dropped a couple between 5-8, and finished strong winning I believe 11 and 12. A draw is understandable, but the judge who scored it for Tua is a ****ing quack. No way Tua won that fight.

Thanks for bringing this up, Parody, and I agree with you completely. Anybody who disses Rahman doesn't know what they're talking about. He is a VERY good fighter and a top 5 heavyweight any time he's in the game. I had him ahead against Holyfield at the time of the technical decision, and he almost KO'ed Maskaev before getting KO'ed himself. He beat Tua twice and has nothing to show for it. The only thing I really hate about Rahman is the way he let Ruiz beat him. That was a piss poor performance by the Rock.

I disagree that he was beating holyfield, Holyfield outhussled him in that fight.

Rahman is a underrated fighter, I like Toney and I think he would beat Rahman, But Rahman has a very good chance, and i dont think it would be as onesided as people say on this forum, Rahman is the guy who KO'd Lennox Lewis, (who by the way is my favourite fighter) and he is thr strongest guy in the division right nopw (bodywise), hes got the most power.
