Comments Thread For: Julio Diaz: Keith Thurman is Tough, But Not Unbeatable

CARSON --- Keith "One Time" has been waiting for this moment for a long time. He gets his first opportunity to headline a Showtime event when he takes on Julio Diaz in the main event on Saturday night at StubHub Center.

"I'm looking forward to Saturday night," Thurman said at Thursday's final pre-fight news conference. "I've been looking forward to Saturday night for a long time. This camp right here is the longest camp I had. It was a 10-week camp, because I was getting prepared for anybody. I was getting prepared for the world. And here we are. We got Julio Diaz. I'm ready. I'm looking forward to it. Please come. If you can't come, tune in. Support the local fighters."

It is a disgrace for showtime to even make this fight. with a record like Thurman has he should be fighting younger better guys. This fight would have been good when he was 11-0

11-0? I think he might have lost had he taken the fight being that green.. diaz gave shawn porter two close fights, i expect the same in this fight as well.. its a good fight imo.

I think Diaz may just test Thurman in terms of his grit and determination. If Diaz takes him 12 rounds well see how Keith reacts against some proper diversity.

I hope he puts up a good fight just so we can have a decent night of boxing.
