    Is Canelo skilled enough to...

Is Canelo skilled enough to pull out a win against Pacquiao? I say, maybe...

I know the weight difference is pretty big but, Canelo is not really a fighter who goes to war, nor is he fast handed. Canelo has stamina issues, and tends to muff up when combinations are thrown at him. His footwork is not necessarily bad...but it ain't that good either, he's slow when it comes to movement. He has to put in a lot of work before he tries to fight a world class/elite fighter who will bring it to him for 12 rounds!

Unless Canelo fought a perfect fight (smart, works his ass off on countering) I see Pacquiao pulling out a stoppage win similar to the Cotto fight. I like the kid, but just cause he was thoroughly outboxed and outclassed against Floyd and made it to the final bell means nothing and says nothing about his chances against Pacquiao, as they (Floyd and Manny) are complete opposites.

I will say this...Canelo is improving with every fight, I'm just not sold on him being the next big thing unless he beats the living hell out of Lara and goes on to beat another big name/proven fighter and does it in a big way!

with ease. possibly tko via cuts which was a propensity during prime pacquiao.

he's not beating pac with skills, if he wins it'll be from the weight of his punches wearing pacquiao down and hurting him everytime lands

otherwise pacquiao dances circles around him

IMO, Canelo is not active enough to decision Pacquiao. But I do think there's a real chance he could land a big shot and KO Manny.

He won't need skills to beat him, if Bradley was winging wild hayemakers and hurting Pacquiao imagine what a much bigger, more accurate Canelo will do to Manny? I honestly don't view this as a fair and legit fight because either Canelo will be too big and heavy for MP or he'll be too drained to compete.

styles make fights I think you should wait until after the lara fight to ask this question ..Angulo not only stood there he was way to slow to even throw punches back ..
