Comments Thread For: Julio Diaz: If Khan Fights His Style, He'll Beat Collazo

LOS ANGELES --- Former two-time world champion Julio Diaz is still trying to figure out how he wasn't awarded the decision when he fought Amir Khan nearly a year ago.

Diaz hopes to end his bad luck with the judges, which also includes a draw and a decision loss to Shawn Porter, when he takes on Keith Thurman for the interim WBA welterweight title on Saturday at StubHub Center in Carson on Showtime.

This fight will depend on how well Khan takes Collazo's power. Collazo will be there all night. If Khan can handle Collazo's power without getting hurt, I think will outpoint him. But if Collazon can hurt Khan, then Collazo will probably win, simple as that.

If Mayweather is fighting the winner of this fight. Fans really do need to boycott Floyd. Maywather puts up great ppv numbers partly because of the undercards. So if we're going to get Mayweather-Collazo/Khan, then we better get the Maidana-Berto rematch and we better get Thurman-Porter on the same card js.

I don't know,Collazo can be a tricky fighter..Khan normally does well against fighters with the boxer puncher style..Yet I can't call it for Khan, esp pass the 4th rd..Should be an interesting fight, even to see where Khan is at in his improvements..Collazo is very slick, not the hardest puncher(although enough to hurt Khan if he's not careful)but he put's his punches together..Normally punches with his opponent as well..Should be interesting,I think it's a 40/60 fight in Khans favor..He(Khan)has made it pass the level that Collazo for many yrs has found himself stuck on..

HM, I think Khan will win but will get hurt and most likely knocked down at some point.

It's not a Khan fight unless he's on the floor

If Khan fights smart he can win.
Collazo is a very dangerous opponent though has a lot of experience at 147 is a former champ and is coming of a huge KO win so his confidence will be Sky-High.

Collazo is also the bigger man in this fight. At 135 and 140 Khan always towered over his opponents. At 147 he is just an average size fighter with a poor chin.

Khan won't enjoy the advantage of being able to land on Collazo while also being out of his range. However, the worst part of the matchup for Khan is the fact that he has no inside fighting ability and is about to take on a guy who roughed up Ricky Hatton on the inside.
