This isn't as ridiculous as people are saying. It would actually be a pretty good fight. But the chances of Manny fighting above 147 again are slim to none. It's not like Kirkland is 4-5 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier. He's probably an inch or two taller, and maybe 10-15 lbs heavier on fight night.

I actually Pacquiao would beat the hell outta him.

First because Pacquiao said after the Margarito fight that he will never again fight even one ounce above 147 so people so just believe him and quit talking about possible fights for him at 154 or 160. Second the fight make no sense at all for Pacquiao. Kirkland is a dangerous puncher and a risk for anyone who fights him. Other than danger Kirkland brings nothing to the table for Pacquiao. Kirkland has no title and he isn't even a top 10 154 pounder. He is not a big draw so the fight would not even be a big payday for Pacquiao. If Pacquiao beats Kirkland, so what. He would be expected to beat him and it gains him nothing. A loss to Kirkland would badly hurt Pacquiao's reputation. Fighting Kirkland makes no sense at all for Pacquiao but it would be a great fight for Kirkland with him having everything to gain and nothing to lose and making a career high payday.

Both are on HBO so the fight is easy to make. Weight is an issue but Margarito was bigger than Kirkland. This fight has war written all over it. Im sick of Pacquaio always fighting the same guys over and over, who cares about a 5th fight with Marquez.
24/7 with Anne Wolfes bootcamp would be incredible and Kirkland would come to fight and this fight would sell better than the Bradley fight imo.
