Pac struggled with porter during sparring. With pacs wear and tear he will probably lose to porter. Maybe knocked out.

He is with Haymon, fight will never happen.

But if it did, Porter dispenses of Pacquiao worse than he did Maliggnagi.

Pacman doesn't have Paulies chin, he will get put to sleep bad, if Paulie who has an iron chin couldn't handle those punches how can Pacman?

I'd love to see him fight Pac, it'd be such a good match-up stylistically.

They used to spar so they must know eachother pretty well.
Could be very interesting match. I see possibly Porter KO Pacquiao. Porter's (mini-Mike Tyson) style will do well close against Mayweather.

BTW, Porter will rip a new arsehole on in Brook.

There may be a new sheriff in town and his name is Porter?!

I don't know. I see a guy that would literally give his head to Pac on a silver platter.

Don't forget, when Porter doesn't like the shots coming back at him, he's not the terminator anymore, and he starts to back pedal a whole heck of a lot.

Kind of why I love this fight for Pac. Porter would be game throughout, but it would make Pac look spectacular against a hot young kid that would give mostly everyone else trouble.

          Huge feather under his cap.

Porter wants the fight, I'm sure Haymon would allow Porter to fight Pacquiao, at this point though looking at it from Pacquiao's perspective - not a fight I want to take.

Pacquiao already fought Bradley and didn't get much hype, what Pacquiao needs is a fight with Canelo. He needs to beat Canelo to get that HYPE back.
            Fair points.

But I think they can find a way around the HBO/Showtime thing as long as there isn't a promotional barrier.

Porter recently said he'd like a fight with Marquez, so he must think that's a realistic fight that can be made, if so, I don't see why a Pac fight isn't realistic either.

But yes, fighting a big 'name' would certainly benefit Pac more.

I'm a fan of Porter but his power is being greatly overrated. He's not a big puncher. The reason he looked so powerful against Pauli is because he knew he could just bulldoze through Pauli without the risk of being hurt, Pauli obviously doesn't have the power to keep people off him.

Porter's got respectable power, nothing more.

Against Pac, he'd be a lot more cautious and look completely different.

No way Pac should entertain the notion of this fight...it's high risk low reward and Manny is to the point he cannot lose again. Bradley lifted him off the canvas, imagine Porter's big ass throwing punches with alot of power on them...if Manny was moving and punching at those angles he used to be capable of it would be a better match up but if he fought him like he did Bradley it could be a huge problem and not alot of money to show for it.

Watch the Gomez fight, and the 1st Diaz fight. When you offer some punch resistance, he tends to bounce around, but not do much, and also back pedals to get his wind back, and his composure.

He's obviously improved since then, but I still think he'd have cardio issues with a guy like Pac. And I still think if Pac were to give him a few good shots, he'd resort back to non active, and back pedaling nature when he doesn't like the shots coming at him.

Remember, Porter doesn't deliver his offense in the same sneaky manner that a Bradley can. And he doesn't have the same off beat rhythym that Bradley has.

He's more of a "I'm coming straight for you, and let's see who can outlast who" type of guy. He's very point A to point B for a guy like Pac. I'm telling you, if they fought, Pac would have an easier time with him than he did with Cotto.

Don't let his size fool you. He's not gonna put the same TYPE of pressure that gives Pacquiao fits, and that's that sneaky, squirrely pressure with angles and craft. That bulldog style pressure is only going to make Pac look phenomenal.
