He wasn't on the decline he just stopped outweighing guys by AS much as he did before and some guys started fighting in ways that made him look bad (high guards, low output) I still dont favor anyone over him not named Rigo...

    Probably even at 126...

he hasnt really been the same since he married that pan faced tae kwon do chick.

instead of improving on his boxing skills that he did have, he threw it all away trying to become the next pacquiao trying to score a KO with every single punch.

he stopped setting up his punches and believed in his own hype way too much.

      You guys are ruthless!

I personally think he got too confident and started to believe that he was going to bulldoze through everyone in his path. He seems to forget that there are girls who can punch harder than him. Either way I think he does need to realise his flaws and come back down to earth and start training like he wants it again.

Donaire has definitely in fallen in love with his left hook over the past few years. His last great complete performance was against Sidorenko. Which was as good as Donaire has ever looked. He was actually using his jab in that fight.

Now he just looks for the one punch knockout. I think he needs to look for a better trainer cause I don't think the matchup with him and Garcia is going to get him anywhere. Garcia couldn't even give him advice when Rigo was spanking him.

Donaire was never anything more than a decent limited fighter who fought a lot of guys made to order which made him appear better than he was.
I have never understood how people couldn't see it before and some still don't.
Yes Rigondeaux is that good and a little bit more but Donaire simply never did have what you may class as an elite or a p4p skillset or whatever you might call it.
He was huge at the lower weights & feisted on small brawlers with a bad defense.

His limitations was shown as far back as the Concepcion fight.
Narvaez showed his limitations, Mathebula, even Vasquez did so in taking his left hook away for most part.
No bruh he actual used to box and use his footwork and threw all of that out of the window

Rigo is a beast but nonito was not a decent fighter he was on path to be a ATG

Rigo is on that same path

to make things worse, the left hook he fell in love with is the textbook, short, compact, left hook

he used to throw a real good long left hook, he is strong enough to make it devastating still, but nah, has to be the textbook left hook like he's literally trying to rip someones head off

I dont like Garcia as a trainer he is not really a teacher of the Art of boxing

to hit and not get hit

                  He fits brawlers very well

Donaire should have stayed with his father

I also wouls have liked Mayweather SR.

                  for him to

He barely worked with Garcia anyway, at least not for the Rigo fight. Didn't he just have some conversations with Robert over the phone in the lead up to it? Some ridiculous **** like that anyway.
