Comments Thread For: Keith Thurman on Porter's KO Win, Possible Showdown

LOS ANGELES --- Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter are two undefeated rising stars in the boxing world who seem destined to meet in the ring one day.

Porter dismantled former two-time world champion Paulie Malignaggi in four rounds to retain his IBF welterweight belt this past weekend. Thurman gets his chance to shine when he takes on former two-time world champion Julio Diaz in the main event on Saturday night at StubHub Center in Carson on Showtime.

Brilliant fight down the line, as Thurman stated let the hype for it slowly build until its a fight too big to ignore!

Holy praise to both fighters for wanting this fight to happen eventually both guys are in there prime, undefeated and a good mesh of styles to call for a candidate fight of the year. GB's young talent roster is paying off I can only hope Brook chickens out at the world stage level like he always does and this fight gets made sooner.

I bet GB/SHO/Haymon r gonna milk these cows real good, I think it will take a while before these guys actually step in the ring with eachother.

Don't milk this fight for too long. It'll end up backfiring on them the way Gamboa-Lopez did for tr.

Thurman though, I want this side to beast on the WW division. A fight with him vs Errol Spence in two/three years is what I'm really looking forward to

Just off of Thurman's comments, I have to go with him over Porter.

Keith's learning process has been very slow, deliberate w/not many risks...w/Birmingham in his corner ( he and Roberrto Quesado, the 2 most under-rated trainers in boxing...those 2 forget more than Roach will ever know)...Thurman beats Porter, tko...
