turning down more money to fight crappier opponents and being scared to fight someone because you might lose and lose future opportunities. isn't that called ducking? he had 3 fights before oscar so that really doesn't make much sense either. if he fought and beat the #1 guy wouldn't that make it easier for him to fight oscar?

He was a cheater, and lost everytime he stepped up to world level except for the cotto fight...
Dude was like 4-9 vs the top 10 guys he fought...


There is this myth that Margs was some unstoppable force that broke down everyone, but in reality he never broken down anyone but cintron and cotto...
williams, clottey, manny, santos twice, etc... Margs never broken down or dominated any of those guys...

Margs was a good fighter, excellent chin, but not world class, he feasted on young green fighters most of his career

4-9? he doesn't even have 9 losses. officially he was 7-5 against top 10 guys but from martinez until mosley he only had 1 legit loss when you factor in he was robbed against santos. so in 9 years he would have been 8-1 against top guys or 9-1 if you include martinez.
