I like both fighters style but if the kid (Lomachenko) is still staying in the Ukrainian he deserves that 60% it's a Civil War over there !!

Peter Quillin must be frustrated at the thought of Lomachenko taking 60%

Smh I swear u guys need to take a contract course. Just one. Please. This not about who's overwhelmingly anything. Smh. The word OR was used. OR and AND mean two drastically different things. What scchafer is doing is what any half decent professional would do.

Then it's a good thing his manager is renting the house and Loma doesn't have to live out of a box to train in Cali

Or he could train in the Ukraine. Fighters come here to make money. That's fine but if u reside here, u reside here. That's a legal principle. It has nothing to do with emotions or feelings. Like I said, asking for clarification is the complete riht thing.

Why should he go train there? should be able to pick what he feels best for when he trains

Good sparring here, good facilities, don't have to fly back and forth for the presser and final presser and don't have to deal with all the B.S in Ukraine right now.

It'll all come down to WBO's definition of residence

What if Lomachenko moves back to the Ukraine in 5 years? That would of made him more of a visitor...

Let's just make it 55/45 for Lomachenko, Ukraine is hectic right now.

He should pick whatever he wants. That's not the point. If he's a legal resident of the US he makes money in the US as such, he's changed his status. That was his choice. If, therefore Schafer argues that, and he will and should, that's not wrong or finding a loophole. That's looking at the WBOs rules and interpreting it. Clarification is certainly needed.

I don't think he would be considered a legal resident if he didn't intend to stay there.
He is here legally yeah but the resident part is pretty iffy.

I mean think of every kid in college paying out of state tuition for college because they aren't residents of the state yet they live there. And work there. And basically live their lives there.

That rule btw is pretty silly if you think about it.
