Morales and Pacman: The Real Heavyweights of Boxing!

    By DOMINIC MENOR
    TODAY Reporter

The Manny Pacquiao-Erik Morales duel will not just be about two excellent athletes, it will be about arguably the two biggest attractions in boxing.

That is why the March 19 fight, although no belts at are at stake, promises to bring the action to the fans, and the revenue to whoever is behind making the fight possible.

“Erik’s last fight with Barrera did three times the amount of buys as the heavyweight champion of the world Vitali Klitschko and Danny Williams,” Top Rank President Todd DuBoef said in an interview with www.boxingscene.com during the fight promotion in Mexico.

“The fight before that, against Carlos Hernandez in the unification bout, did one and a half times more. So the message is that Erik is really the heavyweight of the world as regards an attraction.” And Pacquiao isn’t occupying a less billing come March.

The fight's gonna be the biggest BLOCKBUSTER in boxing's modern times!

This is what I'm talking about. While Marquez is worried about what the IBF/WBA think, Morales and Pacquiao are focused on what the people think. I think Marquez can shove his belts up his ass, because they don't mean anything until he beats Pacquiao.

You have a point, but isn't it that JMM is worried about his purse?

          That's a good one!

But not as far as the MIB'S (MEN IN BLACK suits - the managers and promoters) are concerned! They don't care who their wards fight, as long as the price is right! For them, money is everything! And this is why there have been a lot of great match-ups that failed to materialize!

The real loser? We, the boxing fans!
