The kid will fight anyone.. Golden Boy didn't want him to fight Trout and he forced their hands and won a close fight. Fights the best fighter in the world and unfortunately had to come down to 152 and looked terrible in there trying to outbox Floyd. Comes back and looks great against an overmatched But tough Angulo, and now immediately makes the fight with Lara. People were screaming from the rooftops that he would duck Lara and it took him basically no time to get the fight done for July.
This kid is what boxing should be. Take on all comers and run from no one. He may not be the best fighter out there and may well get handed a lopsided loss to Lara but at least he has the ballz to fight everyone. Unlike lots of other guys we consider great fighters.

It's pretty sad that we have to give fighters credit for taking tough fights nowadays though, it should be mandatory to take the hardest and biggest available fights.

yea canelo gets my respect. hes listening to the real fans out there. lara deserves the shot just like trout did and hes fighting the guy that everyone thinks can beat him and most likely will

What's even crazier is that if he gets pass lara (wich is very likely he will) we might get Canelo/Pacquiao by the end of the year.
