If Pacquiao were fighting Maidana, the Floyd-worshipers would be on this site saying that Pac is fighting another come-forward punching bag. Now that Floyd is fighting him, Maidana is a threat if he hurts Mayweather?

Let's be serious here. Maidana lost 10-0 to Alexander..would have lost 12-0 if it were a 12 round fight. Maidana doesn't move his head; he'll be vulnerable to every punch Floyd throws. If Floyd uses his legs, Floyd can win 12-0 or stop Maidana. This fight won't be competitive.

Before the Broner fight, imagine being asked to pay $70 for this fight?

Nope. The plan is definitely not to try and out-think Mayweather. You might as well bypass the fight and take one in the L column.

You have to examine past successes other opponents have had with him, and I always come back to the argument that to beat Mayweather, you have to use seriously deceiving feints and hurt him early. Maidana's power, combined with his awkwardness will be his only chance in this fight.

He caught Broner with a feinting jab that transitioned into a lead left hook. Mosley caught Floyd with a jab feint to the stomach followed by an overhand right. Same basic idea.

Maidana has a chance if he does that. Otherwise it's an easy and boring UD for Floyd, yet again.

you kidding? if you try to go in and out box/out think mayweather you lose. Thats exactly what canelo did. Ya pressuring mayweather has not really worked besides mosley and hatton having early success but that dont mean its not the best option. the key is to show floyd something he is not used to seeing. u cant out think or out smart the thinker. u have to get in there and make it ugly. we've heard this time after time before but no one has done it yet. u have to rough it up, throw punches in bunches, etc. if ur thinking trying to pick ur shots, ur also giving floyd time to think. u cant win the fight like this.

Not exactly. Mosley got gassed out after that big round. Did you see Mosley pressure after that? I say no!

You need to pressure Floyd but do it correctly. Some can't because they are just not that good, some only come with PLAN A and some don't understand how to effectively attack Floyd's defensive stances.

You can only outthink Floyd if you have the right tools to do so. Even then, you need to vary your attack.
Example is Judah. The first few rounds, he basically countered Floyd effectively but Judah was not consistent in his countering and not consistent period. Then he began pressuring Floyd in spurts and it worked but still Judah has a consistency issue.
