During the Lara-Trout fight I struggled hard not to fall asleep... But, at some point, I got attentive -- because Trout was missing everything he threw... It was nearly comical...

No but drawing with Molina(should have lost) , drawing with Martirosyan, and going life and death with Angulo doesn't exactly earn you a money fight. Or the ridiculous praise NSB fan boys give him, some going as far as saying he's top 5 p4p.

I like Lara, but he isn't nearly as great as Rigondeaux.

Lara would be a great win for Canelo though. Canelo's 154 resume would be pretty damn good if he wins this fight. Trout, Angulo, and Lara would be real good. You could make a case that Lara is undefeated just like Trout.

It's a 50-50 fight.

True indeed. Plus, unlike Canelo, Lara didn't have the added benefit of bringing guys up in weight, cheating on the scales, etc. The only fight where Alvarez didn't have the advantage in pre fight negotiations was the Mayweather fight.

I keep hearing guys mentioning Williams, Molina, and Martirosyan as if Canelo fought these guys. It would be interesting to see how Canelo would've done against those fighters; under the same conditions in which Lara fought them.

Lara wins this easy but needs to knock Canelo down a few times or even out because if it goes the distance Lara will get robbed.
