Pacquiao's lack of improvement in 4 Marquez fights: Proof that Roach is Limited?

    Pacquiao joined Roach in 2001...

1st Marquez fight was in 2004, second in 2008, third 2011, fourth 2012.

did Pacquiao make any improvements and adjustments as the 8 years went by? and if he didn't do any better against Marquez in those fights then what does it say about Roach as a trainer? why hadnt Pac improved and implemented different techniques to use against Marquez?

does it just show that Roach is a limited trainer who can't really help fighters improve beyond a certain point but can just keep them at a certain level (like most average trainers do)? is he limited not only in terms of training techniques but also in terms of game-planning/tactics/strategy

I voted no. Your opinion that Pacquiao lacked movement is just your opinion and not proof of anything. I think Pacquiao has great movement and Roach is a great coach or fighters like Cotto would not travel thousands of miles to be trained by him.

Why is it hard for people to comprehend that Marquez is Manny's Joe Frazier, simple as that.

So because Pacman struggles with one guy he lacks skills? I agree Roach isn't a complete trainer he mainly trains offense, but Pacman is far from one dimensional or limited. he might not set shoulder roll traps or look pretty but he gets the job down in his own way.

If he lacked tools how did he adjust int he Morales rematch? Morales used the same strategy as the first fight and was out boxing and pushing Pacman back at times, and than Pacman started taking over and stopped him.

Pacman only has problems with Marquez because of his aggressive gung ho counter punching style, he is willing to take chances against Pacman and gets the better of the exchanges.

                  Yes

Look at the fourth fight, he was on the verge of knocking Marquez out only to get hit with an all or nothingout of desperation

Hence Marquez refusing the fifth despite Pac giving Marquez 4 chances
