How is Stevenson gonna beat Hopkins? KO him? Outbox him? Outhustle him?

It'll most likely be in Canada, so all Stevenson has to do is outwork him(throw more punches), and he'd get the W in the eyes of the judges. Unfortunately, that's the way it is.

If Hopkins can make him fight his fight, which is throw few punches, B-Hop will have a chance to get the upset. He's against all odds with this fight, younger fighter, hometown fighter, Stevenson is not a brawler/come forward guy. Hopkins is in for a tough one. Hopefully he pulls it off.

I say Stevenson defeats Bernard Hopkins by simply outworking and out hustling him. It's just simple arithmetic. One can easily beat him with pure volume punching; Since he prefers fighting at a slow pace and only averages less than 40 punches per round.

It's not that easy though or else everyone would simply out work Hopkins. Hopkins is a master of space, he keeps a good amount of distance. Just about everyone Hopkins fights their punch output is reduced 50% or more. There is a reason for this. Hopkins will clinch after a punch, use lateral movement, etc. It's tricky.

Dawson is just a bad match up for Hopkins at this age. His height, long arms, speed and jab were difficult for Hopkins. Stevenson is a completely different fighter. That isn't to say Stevenson can't and won't win, I'm just saying it's not simply about out working him.

Hopkins may use the Pascal gameplan and force the fight as Stevenson doesnt handle pressure well and pushing him back will take away some of his punching power.

Also, Stevenson telegraphs his punches, doesn't throw a right hand upstairs.
