If Kovalev doesn't get the big fights at LHW - should he move up to cruiser?

Sergey Kovalev doesn't look likely to get big fights v Hopkins or Stevenson in the LHW division, in the near future anyway...so beating low quality opposition that won't really cement him as THE champ is fairly pointless - would he be successful if he moved up in weight to the cruiserweight division? I think his power would carry well and he could be a force there.

But what do you think - would it be a good idea for him? Personally, I don't see him moving down so up is more realistic. Would it be worth it if he doesn't get the big matchups at light heavy? Would he be willing to do it?

Do you know how much he cuts in camp? Just wondering if he would be able to do it easily or would be hard on him.

i would like to see him fight Pascal if possible, is that a big enough fight in Canada? i lost track of who manages Pascal now so I don't know if it's doable.

**** can change in this game, I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility if the money fights aren't there for him in the division. Unlikely, but not impossible.

Hopefully there is some sort of big matchup like that - who you got winning in that one - Ward I guess?

                  Nope. Money is at LHW.

Stevenson can't hide forever, Pascal is still there, Ward will move up when he gets his head out of his ass and Chavez Jr. will be there because he's a ****in cruiserweight.

Even though talent at cruiserweight is scarce, it's still a big step up (25 lbs) from light heavyweight. Huck and Chambers took punches from Povetkin without going down, so I have doubts about Kovalev's power carrying to cruiser.

Andre Ward has faced everyone at super-middleweight except Dirrell. If his heart is still in the game he will probably move up unless he wants to rematch the guys he's beaten.

Unfortunately, Kovalev's in a crap situation.
