    Marquez vs Porter. Who wins?

JMM wants a welterweight 147 title to earn a title in his "5th weight division"
Can JMM beat Porter? Or does he have a better shot against PAC.

In my opinion, his best shot is against PAC.

    2) Porter

I guess we will get a better sense after the JMM-Alvarado match plays out. I just don't think JMM could get past Porter.

At this stage in JMM's career I think Porter would win.

Porter will be about two divisions higher on fight night and I don't think JMM's chin can hold up to that, certainly not anymore.

In 2014 I would give the edge to Porter. JMM's biggest problem is he can't slip the left hook. Mannys cracked him numerous times, Floyd beat him with one hand, and I don't see how this fight would be any different.

          Porter would destroy Marquez.

Marquez may prove to still be too good a counter puncher for Porter's aggressive style, I don't know right now. This is why I want to see Porter face someone like Thurman because it'll answer these questions, the way people quickly get behind fighters can be really annoying sometimes....

I'd have to see how Marquez looked in his next fight..As of now tho I'd slightly fav Marquez..All depending on how Marquez looks against Alvarado is what i'll base it on..

I did not think Marquez looked bad against Bradley,I just thought Bradley had a real good game plan..Porter already showed he can take a Bradley game plan(and let's be honest)improve on it..I would not mind seeing this fight actually..Wish it could get made..

                Thurman isn't a particularly good counter-puncher.

I think he'd beat Porter though.

JMM is so highly skilled that I don't want to dismiss him but I don't like the matchup with Porter for him at this point.

                  Porter by TKO.

I find him to be one, especially his counter left hook or right uppercut. The fight will prove how defensively responsible Porter can be when moving forward, against Alexander and Malignaggi he had nothing to worry about. Even then Alexander still managed to tag him but simply lacked the fire power which Thurman doesn't.
