  • How would any of the top technical boxers deal with

Non stop effective pressure like what Shawn porter displays, it seems to me that that is the only chance u have to beat these guys like Floyd, Bhop, ridondeaux ect. is to come in swinging and overwhelm these guys, now what comes to my mind is how Floyd handled hatton, but hatton didn't come in swinging he waited till he got inside then started swinging. How can u beat these guys?

You have to clinch him, Malignaggi failed to do so (probably because he got buzzed just before) just before he got knocked out and Porter was ferocious

Hatton was smaller than Floyd and looked thoroughly out of his dept in his 1st appearance at 147. Porter is a welterweight, actually if I'm not mistaken he's been bigger. Add to that that he displayed strength approaching and surpassing the likes of James Kirkland.

What I'm saying is pressure from a smaller fighter is not as effective as from a bigger more physical fighter.

Because Pauli Malignaggi is equivalent to Floyd,Bhop and Rigo or even similar in about 0% of things the comparisson or the assumption is completely ******ed. Bhop for example takes your relentless aggressiveness and shoves it up your own ass while mind fking you.

This is also true. All 3 would run you into something that'd keep you honest.

I don't see it working at all, Mayweather has filled in since wrestling with Hatton and couldn't be controlled physically by Ortiz, Guerrero or Mosley. Porter is doing this against weak to decent punchers, fighters who don't counter well or can't fight a lick on the inside, on top of that I still see openings when he rushes in. I see Mayweather using his forearms to push off, even intimidating with his elbows (Mayweather is taller) and obviously getting the better in close and countering Porter as he comes in.

Again, look at who Porter is doing this to. Lets not get too hyped up, if he's able to do this against a good heavy handed counter puncher in Thurman, then it's time to take Porter this serious.

Also the bold isn't true, Hatton punched his way in and had some success landing until Mayweather slowed him down.

hatton also said he couldnt hit Mayweather with a handful of confetti!
like the guy said, look at the competition he's facing. Like alot of guys look incredible before facing May, but he does things that have you thinking as opposed to fighting. Nobody prepares for May coming forward and walking toward you and he's been doing that since he came back against JMM then when you get used to that in the match he starts moving side to side or getting down inside, then he's up by a ton of points then you have to try and catch him and you end up getting potshotted and embarrased all of which has to weigh on your mind while you still have to deal with someone punching you in the face and body.....Boxing is not EASY.

B-hop would run you into a clinch
Rigo would run you into a marathon trying to make him engage in a fight
Mayweather would make you run to get the fight with him if he thought you could beat him
