How would you grade Jacob's commentating?

I've seen the Porter/Paulie and Quillin/Konecny fight.... honesty, throughout I forgot he was commentating.

Fighters usually give great insight during fights...but I just don't find him memorable at all.

What do you guys think? Think Showtime will give him a callback or was this just a one time thing to draw interest in him/Quillin?

    He wasn't very good.

Paulie is the best commentator as far as former fighters go right now. Roy Jones is delusional at times, and I love Roy.

There were times in Bradley-Provonikov where Bradley was completely out on his feet, but would land a counter on Ruslan, and it didn't hurt Ruslan at all, but he would say "OOHHHH that shot just hurt Ruslan, jim"

Paulie is my favorite...and Ward, he's very insightful when he commentates..... at least I think so.

Roy is funny... I think he's on the HBO koolaid sometimes....but he's funny listening to him talk with Lampley and Kellerman

He had no command was hesitant or unable to chime in when needed.

They tried but it was a one time deal probably.

I do like them bringing in fighters to do the broadcast a lot of ppl complain about these guys but unlike other sports there's not a wide landscape of proving ground you can choose from.

Best fighter commentary of the night was Paulie commentating on how Porter beat his ass....descriptive and broke it down very well. Can't wait to hear Paulie next week

He wasn't THAT bad but he had trouble keeping it going.

There wasn't much personal insight and everything he said a knowledgeable person about the sport could have said.

I gave him a D. If Paulies gonna fight either bring back Tarver, especially since he's minus 200,000 into Haymon, or bring in someone like Lennox Lewis. I enjoyed Khan last time he was there but he's in camp right now.

I thought he gave some good insight when Porter was fighting and he was recalling his fights with him from the amateur days
