I know, I know, there are probably a billion similar threads but this is a personal tribute to one of the true ATGs. I've been watching Hopkins since I was a kid and I fell in love with his ability to KO good opponents and to often make them look silly. Now, he doesn't possess that power but still manages to make opponents look silly.
How? Well he is still quick, his mind is sharp, he never takes unnecessary punches and he trains damn hard. Add to that his clean living, no drugs, no alcohol, a devout ****** who doesn't shove his faith down anyone's throats. The man is an inspiration, his ability at the highest level is remarkable.
There has never been a greater fight of 35+, never. Some people may harken back to the days of Moore but he didn't fight at this level for this long at this age. Robinson? Leonard? Ali? Duran? None of them. A top 20 ATG, yall scoffed when I said it before, I'm saying it again. You can scoff all you want and go back to watching boxing with rose tinted glasses.
