It's an interesting fight for many reasons. I think that Thurman has shown to be able to adapt and has slightly better boxing skills. However, Porter is fighting like a man possessed lately (also fighting better competition) and we did see Soto Karass rock Thurman pretty hard. Porter looks like a guy that could get outboxed by a guy pumping a consistent jab and spoiling his rhythm. Could Thurman be that guy or he will just get into a slugfest with Porter?

Schaefer always says they match their best into their best but often they don't. Thurman, Broner, and Matthysse are all fighting unrated fighters that they should easily beat. I did think Thurman would beat Porter but after his KO of Paulie I think Porter might win. He looked like a monster in the ring tonight.

I hope this fight happens. Thurman gets the late TKO or wide decision.

Thurman fights too long and throws some crisp straight shots. I think Porter would be really competitive and make Thurman uncomfortable, but I see Thurman thinking and making lots of adjustments. Fighting at his distance and picking Porter apart coming in.
