I think Thurman needs a few more "names" on his resume first. Porter already has Alexander and Paulie. Perhaps a Devon fight for Thurman? Then the Porter/Thurman fight IMO.

According to NSB Keith Thurman doesn't have any big names on his resume because he is the boogyman and everyone is running scared from him.

Pauli has fooled too many boxing fans for years. They cant even see this feather fisted haox of a fighter. Doesnt have it to dance with contenders even. The guy just stretched his luck. That is amazing how a fluke of a fighter can reach this hype this long.

paulie fought foolishly aggressive as if he had some kind of power nd porter whooped paulies ass every single round, whom never been ko'ed before. pac taught porter to be lungy & to create angles on his punches, impressive performance. he even rehydrated a lot of weight, looked huge

Paulie spewed hate towards Manny saying he would get his ass whooped by Bradley. When porter said he will use his experience with Manny in the fight, paulie dismissed Manny as a top fighter. He said porter was basic. Well what does he have to say now. Like Manny said the exalted will be humbled and the humbled will be exalted.

Amazing how Porter just pounded Malignaggi into oblivion in 4 rounds! Malignaggi is known to have a good chin(his only 2 KO defeats were fights that were stopped prematurely & by the way they were going he could have gone the distance) he even went the distance against Cotto with a broken Cheek bone! I did not expect Porter to win by KO & as a matter of fact I thought that with Pauly's experience he could have pulled it off. Good win & impressive win for Porter especially since he won in a fashion that Cotto, Khan, Hatton, Judah & Broner(who I thought Pauly beat) couldn't do. I'm watching Hopkins give Shumenov a Boxing clinic.

Yes, there is. Schafer is protecting Thurman until Mayweather retires so Thurman can fight for and win Mayweather's vacated belt against a glorified journeyman or a weaker opponent. Basically the same strategy he is using with Deontay Wilder.

After this performance, there is no way Schafer puts Thurman in the ring with Porter unless both have belts and Schafer can cash them out in a PPV show.
