Callum Smith is eager to get back into the groove in Manchester on Saturday night after six months out of action with an injured hand.
The unbeaten 23-year-old Liverpool super-middleweight star defends his WBC International title against Tobias Webb in Cardiff on May 17.
But first faces he face French journeyman Francois Bastient, 32, in a six-round clash.
"I am really eager to get back in the ring," said Smith (9-0 7KOs). "I was very active in my first year as a pro so that made the six months I have been out feel a lot longer.
