But what does this have to do with what I originally posted. Nothing.

      It's the path Lomachenko wanted.

"He wants to become a pound-for-pound champion," Klimas added. "He doesn't want to be on a long track. He wants to fight for a title soon. If we could get a champion today, we would like to fight the champion today. He wants to make something special."

When two-time Ukrainian Olympic gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko signed with Top Rank in July, one of the reasons was because the company agreed to go along with his request to be moved quickly and because it could promise him a world title fight within the first few bouts of his pro career.

Maybe so but he had a shot and failed, so he should get to the back of the que, cause he obviously isn't good enough YET. And it's Arums job to guid him in the correct way, just like Eddie Hearn is with his medal winning Olympians.

Why on earth do people care about these lower weight classes when there are plenty of other great fights on the way from welterweight to heavyweight?

Gary Russell isn't pulling out of ****. If anybody pulls out it will be Lomachenko.

He has other options he can take to fight for a world title. Top Rank has Walters, Gradovich and the winner of Donaire/Vetyeka.
