So what do you call yourself then? He wasn't with Ruslans corner that's true but he already done with his training and preparation with him and his assistant took over from there. BWAA consists of many different writer from different publications, they vote, no guns on their heads, they vote and voted for Roach. Did he deserves it? For me no, does it matter what I think? No. Do I get paid to write about boxing? No. DO YOU?

There's little money in boxing writing. Only a select few with big companies do it for a living. Anybody can write an article for a website if they have the motivation for it. I wrote a story for boxingscene when I was 15.

People will complain about Roach until the sun stops rising. Roger and Floyd sr are great trainers but their training is limited to one fighter. Garcia did have an ok year, sanchez did too, so did hunter but like everything in boxing the names of your fighters matter as well as well as how well known you are as well. Hell Diaz should've won a few years ago and didn't. Welcome to the modern politics of boxing. If you can sit in here crowing about a-sides then you shouldn't be complaining about awards that come with it.
