I care about it. You can measure a fighter's appeal with buy rates.
Once Pacquiao got KO'ed that aura of invincibility has gone. He went from 1.2 vs Marquez, 525 mil vs Rios, and 700 for Bradley II. The 1st Bradley fight didn't help, lack of undercard didn't help.
However, this was the best match-up he could take. Pacquiao is just running out of fresh opponents that the mainstream would buy. Something like the Cotto-Pacquiao that had the aura of a good fight, it that had excitement, it had that "oh **** this is going to be a fight".
He needs a fight like that.
In regards to the Mayweather fight, Pacquiao should just do his thing. If it happens it happens. Pacquiao doesn't need the Mayweather fight, only thing he needs the Mayweather fight for is the IRS.Last edited by Bee Keepz; 04-17-2014, 05:35 PM.Comment

Why are they waiting until next week. Bob Arum usually provides his phony numbers on Pacquaio's PPV events within the week. Now, they are telling us we have to wait two weeks to hear Arum lie about the numbers with HBO's blessing.
My guess is it did 600,000 PPVs -- about the same number as the first fight.Comment

If you read the text of Mikey Garcia's lawsuit, you would know why. Arum is probably meeting with Manny Pacquaio right now and telling him that Arum will make a Mayweather fight for September and pay Pacquaio $40 million if Pacquaio will sign a contract extension.Comment

Then it sounds like its time for Manny to leave Arum if he REALLY wants to fight Floyd then huh:*******:
Thats about all you and yo kind have to hang on to nowadays ain't it
