Comments Thread For: Collazo Fighting Amir Khan, Kidney Disease Awareness

LAS VEGAS - Former WBA Welterweight World Champion boxer Luis Collazo will once again demonstrate his support for The NephCure Foundation when he meets Amir Khan in a critical confrontation May 3 as the co-featured bout on the blockbuster Floyd Mayweather card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

When he knocked out Victor Ortiz before his hometown fans Jan. 30 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Collazo entered the ring with NEPHCURE.ORG emblazoned on his robe and on the back of his trunks in support of the kidney disease patient advocacy group and his teenage friend, Allie Genatt, who suffers from the debilitating kidney disease FSGS.

I didn't think this undercard would be very compelling, but it's leagues better than the Pacquiao vs Bradley undercard.

There is no way Khan loses against Collazo, I think a few people are guilty of giving him far to much credit for the Ortiz fight, He is very, very slow both offensively and defensively his footwork is good but still very slow, Everything he does is very telegraphed as long as khan avoids getting drawn into a brawl this is an easy fight for Khan and a beat down for Collazo.

It has more names, and more potential for hilarity, but I don't know if it will be 'better'. Pac actually had a pretty decent undercard this go round.

One solid punch from Collazo and Khan will be teaching us a new dance.
