    Rough Night on ESPN

That was the worse night I have had on t.v. !! Everything went bad for the card, long delays, a fight scrapped when the ringside doc found a broken hand that a fighter didn't tell us about until his hands were to get wrapped.

And to top it off, I just didn't have my good pipes - what can I say, the old Soundtraveler had an off night. I heard Kenny in the studio say "new?" "new what?"

Damn Kenny, Peterson is the first winner of the WBC's new "U.S." belt. What did you expect me to say - "here's yet another bull**** alphabet soup boxing title" on ESPN?

You were the announcer? Good stuff.

I didn't really like the look of Lamont Peterson. What were your thoughts on him? His brother seems to be MUCH more seasoned as he has a punch to keep guys off of him.

What about that heavyweight scrap? A bit of an unusual ending, but holy crap is that guy strong. What a freaking bull.

I was looking at his record on boxrec, a few years ago he was 220 something for a fight, and then fought the next month at 240 something, knocked his opponent out in the first round, and has been at 240 or 250 ever since. Nobody likes to hear steriod accusations, but sometimes it is pretty obvious.

Lamont is a more skilled boxer, while Anthony definately has more pop. Both will be Champs in the next year to a year and a half I would say. Lamont showed me he can take a punch that stops him in his tracks, and then come right back to his gameplan and return fire. I wanted to see how Lamont would react when he got tagged, and I must say, he passed the test. You should have seen his poor opponant 2 hours after the show, the swelling and bruising was really kicking in, and the entire right side of the man's face was swelling out about two and a half inches!
