On Wednesday evening Cuban knockout artist Yuniel "The KO Doctor" Dorticos (16-0 16 KOs) will look to move one step closer to a world title shot when he defends his WBA Fedelatin cruiserweight title against Eric Fields(24-2 16 KOs) in Santa Monica, Calif. The vacant USBA cruiserweight title will also be at stake.

Horrible, just horrible..the writing, that is. The guy never says anything close to the botched title.

Man, I like the way this guy talks! But I would like Yunier to slow his flow a little. All those KOs don't mean you're ready for the big time. His attitude and work ethic are definitely very encouraging, however. Some rounds and some polishing would be welcome. Too bad Dorticos isn't bigger...or smaller. The cruiserweight division gets no love; Yunier is too big for light-heavy and too small for heavy.

The cruiserweight division gets no love...in the U.S. You can make good money in Germany if you're a world champion. Yoan Hernandez is probably making much more money than Rigondeaux, Lara & Gamboa despite not being as talented.

Yes, that's what I meant...in the U.S. That's where I live. Whatever goes on in Europe is in my periphery. I'm well aware of Pablo's success in Germany -- they even gave him a movie role. If he had that same kind of success in America, Hernandez might be on a par with Mayweather.

And before him, Juan Carlos Gómez has done well in Germany as a Cruiserweight too. If he's really good, Dorticos' future is in Germany. He should try to sign with a local promoter like Sauerland.

Once again, this is what I'm talking about. I don't want to see my Cubans fighting outside the U.S. It pains me that Rigo might have to take his show on the road. Admittedly, it's selfish, because some Cuban fighters are better off in Europe. But why would a guy like Mike Perez cross the Atlantic? He was having success in Ireland. He even has an Irish wife. The answer? Despite the boxing environment in Europe, the United States is still the place to become a boxing superstar.

They meant "vows." The writer must use an iPad or something to do his articles. Autocorrect can be a bitch. lol
