I don't think people say Triangle theories are true, you are not looking at what they are attempting to explain.

Has Manny had issues with fleunt counter punchers? Yes. Is Bradley a fluent counter puncher? No, he is a C+ class counter puncher.

Marquez, Morales, Mayweather are all A+ counter punchers. And all Marquez and Morales both have beaten Pacquiao pretty decisively before.

Triangle theories work sometimes when going to the scorecards. When there is a journeyman fighter that always gives his all loses by shut out to fighter A but holds fighter B to a draw. The odds would be strong that fighter A could out point fighter B.

But styles do make fights and knockouts are an exception to the rule.
