According to you armchair experts here, Adonis is "ducking" Kovalev but the bottom line is this, fighters go where ever they feel they can get the most money. Adonis will simply make more money with Al Haymon and Showtime rather than being an HBO fighter.

The tide is turning, Showtime has become the premiere boxing network and HBO (along side Top Rank) are taking a back seat to Showtime and Haymon.

All the belts are over on Showtime except for Kovalev's. Pascal will be fine since his promoter has good relations with that network.

I personally think Pascal signed with Interbox also to keep the doors open for him at HBO. Otherwise it would not make any sense.

It's a smart move on his part since he's not managed by Al Haymon, he can still fight on HBO & Showtime, two networks he's been apart of. I just hope he doesn't go with Lucien Bute rematch right away, that would be terrible.

I suspect a double-header is possible with Jürgen Brähmer defending his WBA "Regular" 175lbs championship against Jean Pascal with Sergey Kovalev defending his WBO 175lbs championship against Lucien Bute with the winners meeting each other.

You most likely have it at the Bell Centre as well.

Doesn't really matter what Showtime does as they don't have Kovalev. Who ever comes out of Showtime in a year, after Hopkins retires, is going to be looking like a paper tiger without a Kovalev match.

hbo still gets better ratings. maybe p4p showtime is better? anything that has to do with fantasy and floyd/golden boy always win.

Smart man, he wants to fight Top Rank's top LHW which will probably go down. Then he's going to fight Lucian Bute in a rematch which is boring. After those two fights he can probably choose between the Hopkins/Stevenson winner and Kovalev.

JP is just using GYM & Interbox to learn promotional ropes but he's going the way of Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto by co-promoting his own fights. At that point I could see him linking up with DiBella Entertainment.
