According to WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana, the fans should be happy that Floyd Mayweather Jr. took a pass on fighting Amir Khan on May 3rd. Maidana and Khan were both in the running to face Mayweather on the May date. After weeks of suspense, Mayweather selected Maidana.

Khan was furious with Mayweather's decision. And the British star was quick to point out that he holds a 2010 decision win over Maidana.

At one point Amir Khan was one of the most exciting fighters, that was when he was still under Roach when he went to Hunter he became boring.

But this Floyd vs Maidana match is going to be much more boring than a Khan Mayweather, Maidana is slow and it will be a repeat of the Baldomir fight. Only chance Maidana has is to land a lucky punch.
