Cotto honestly hasnt been a killer since 140. Im being critical but honest. He lost to Pac and Margs and in my honest opinion to Clottey. He destroyed Rodriguez and Jennings. Lost lopsided to Trout.
De La Hoya is a nightmare mstch up for Cotto.
Marquez vs Cotto at 144-147 is a hell of a fight.

Fighters are allowed to lose specially against bigger guys who are good fighters. I'd buy that excuse if he would've lost to a guy like Delvin but not Trout. I hate the fact it's always someone else's fault and never the fighter when they lose a fight they were meant to win.

Trout would never come close to beating Mayweather . He can't outbox him we saw how much he struggled to land cleanly on Canelo. He sure as hell can't walk him down either as he has no punching power and is ineffective as was on display during the Lara fight.
Where did I say it was the Cubans fault only for losing to Trout? Didn't I just say Cotto overlooked him, that's 100% on Cotto. The overtraining didn't help either and that's on the Cuban, there is plenty of blame to go around. Cotto came to fight against Mayweather and Pedro had a nice gameplan, but he had him boxing too much Cotto should have fought like rounds 5 and 8 for at least 2 more rounds. He boxed to much for Floyd, but I understand you have to have more than just one strategy to fight Floyd.

I still don't see how I am making excuses... Cotto lost a fight he could have won. He lost the fight how much more clear can I be about that, and I am giving reason as to why he lost the fight. A reason is different than an excuse like I didn't wear socks or I didn't have bricks in my gloves, or I had sex 2 weeks ago. And AGAIN because people literrally have an inability to understand what they read... or people think "decent" chance means he beating Mayweather. Of course I would favor Floyd but no way would those odds be -1200 for Mayweather as they are for Maidana, maybe -700 or -800. Also Canelo didn't give Trout the business he won a close fight it was nothing special.

Cotto is my man and Ill go to war for him but he did:

Looked the WORSE physical shape vs Trout than in any other fight. EVER!

Looked bloated, slow, lethargic, no-foot work, could not put a combination together, I mean like I never (or for that) any of us seen him before. Yet, the fight could have gone either way.

Do not understand why the judges had it so wide in Trout's favor.

There was also the distraction of the "head bumping" with the Pedro regarding his mother wanting Cotto to leave the mountains and return to FL. This had a negative effect in his conditioning.

Actually, we are just telling you what Floyd and company admit to about their opponents.
