You do know he (Trout) threw 250+ more punches than Canelo and only landed 30 more total punches. While landing his punches at a wopping 21% and got put on his ass. He was just wild and ineffective.

Apparently Cotto didn't think highly enough of Trout so that's why he lost, even though he overtrained for the fight. You expect people to believe Cotto overlooked an undefeated champ in his prime who was physically superior to him. That's the definition of overtraining while not taking the fight as seriously as he should have. Also, IDC if Trout was undefeated and in his prime Mayweather is undefeated and past his prime so that means Cotto should have taken Trout more serious? Cotto came off the best performance against Mayweather anyone ever has and now he is supposed to train the same for the "regular" champ?

When compared to Khan and Maidana he's done a lot better, fact. You guys need to work on your reading comprehension; did most of you not pass elementary school? Where did I say Trout would win? So the Cuban gets all the blame for the Trout fight yet none of the credit for giving Floyd a tough fight? No one's buying Cotto overlooked Trout specially when his whole team told him he was too dangerous and a bad style match up. Your looking for excuses when you don't need any. Fighters are allowed to lose specially against bigger guys who are good fighters. I'd buy that excuse if he would've lost to a guy like Delvin but not Trout. I hate the fact it's always someone else's fault and never the fighter when they lose a fight they were meant to win.

Trout would never come close to beating Mayweather . He can't outbox him we saw how much he struggled to land cleanly on Canelo. He sure as hell can't walk him down either as he has no punching power and is ineffective as was on display during the Lara fight.
