Comments Thread For: Roach: Pacquiao Had Killer Instinct, But a Little Slower

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach was pleased with Manny Pacquiao's level of aggression on Saturday night, when the Filipino star won a twelve round unanimous decision over Timothy Bradley to recapture he WBO welterweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

One the main storylines in the pre-fight promotion to Saturday's rematch, was Pacquiao's display of in-ring compassion. Both Roach and Bradley agreed that Pacquiao had let his opponents off the hook in several recent fights where he could have possibly scored a knockout.

I was impressed with his decision making in this fight..he fought smart and choose his spots and it worked. Both men really went for it early on, it was a great fight. I like this more calculated Pacquaio tho...all that reckless shhh made the outcomes of his fights questionable at times. Both men made a varying amount of adjustments in this fight. He really needs to work on blocking right hands tho..it was a right hand that Marquez dropped him with the first time and then K.O.'d him with...that's where he is most vulnerable even when fighting smartly. Bradley did well trying to lure him into traps and into making mistakes but pacquaio was smart enough not to feed into it or what the crowd was roaring for. He fought his fight and his opponent fought his. Hats off to both men.

Pacquiao did look slower than in the Rios fight. Something was off about him.

Bradly is faster than rios maybe??? It's hard to look fast when Bradley is dodging and weaving so low. Even when Bradley is backing up not throwing his whole upper body and head is down to his wist dogding and weaving.

When Bradley's doing a desert storm with his heavily animated head and upper body movements, it could be pretty tough to time properly.

Pac has a couple more fights in him at the most I hope then he quits

Speed-fighters who keep going after they lose their speed end up like Roy Jones did, its depressing and gross to watch

Bradley is a very illusive fighter, its hard to hit, he have great head movements. I think is something to do with bradley why pacquiao looks a little bit slow
