Gatti was never very good. He had a chin and some pop and won a belt by having world-class heart and determination.

He was shot, and way past whatever prime he had, when he faced Mayweather. Pacquiao and Bradley were much better fighters than Gatti - so no Mayweather wouldn't "Gatti" them in the slightest.

Mayweather has made good decisions regarding finances and health - but by fighting only once a year for 6+ years (and barely 14-15 fights in 10 years) he has hurt his legacy. Ultimately Mayweather needs to clear out the best fighters in his division. He hasn't.

Would he have beat them? (maybe) be he didn't fight them so we don't know.

Fact of the matter PAC had three occasions to fight Floyd but turned them all down.
