Yeah that's him, anyway, he had the record for quickest KO in the old Tuesday Night Fight show, the fight lasted 13 secs. including the 10 count.
Point is, once the bell rings, you're game.
Unlike this other one posted, there was nothing at all cheap about Thunder's KO of Crawford Grimsley, as both fighters came to the center of the ring ready to go and Thunder threw a right hand over top of Grimsley's jab & messed him completely right up.
And for the official record of quickest knockouts;
Al Couture has the quickest complete ten count KO on record, as it officially only took 10.5 seconds for him to dispatch Ralph Walton in a 1946 Welterweight bout.
And according to Harry Mullan's boxing enclyclopedia (as well as BoxRec) the quickest TKO is said to belong to Ever Beleno, who once finished off an opponent at the official time of 0:05 of the first round.
even if he just wanted to touch gloves he had to imagine that something like that might happen. i dont blame the other guy at all, he was just doing his job and once the bell rang he was ready. keep your guard up at all times, even when attempting to touch gloves...
I dunno. I understand about being ready to go at anytime, but I just think that was plain low of him to do that. Now he probably caused the other guy perminant damage and proved not much more then that he's good at sucker punches.
