Comments Thread For: Diego Chaves Eyes Return on The First Week of June

Hard-hitting Argentine Diego Cháves (23-1, 19 KOs) has told BoxingScene that he will return to the ring in the first week of June, location and opponent are still to be determined.

Cháves impressed American fans with his performance against Keith Thurman last July, despite losing by KO in round 10.

The 28-year-old defeated countryman Juan Alberto Godoy in February by way of a third round TKO and will be looking to return against a big name having previously expressed interest in a rematch with Thurman.

    I agree, I like Diego.

I wish Provo or Broner were fighting him instead next. He'd be a good test.

Thurman is the goods imo, I think he can beat anyone outside of Floyd at this point (not that he'd be favored, just that he could legitimately beat almost anyone now).

Chaves need to move to the USA. He's a good fighter and would be a good attraction at 147. He beats a lot in the division now.

I'd like to see Diego Chaves v Robert Guerrero.

Will never happen though, not sure where he can get a fight against a big name. High risk-low reward.
