With Floyd seeing everything coming from a mile away, and not stopping to let Ruslan punch with him. I'd be shocked if Provodnikov wasn't shut out, and I'd fall off the couch if he got more than two rounds.

At least Maidana's a little lighter on his feet and has power in some sneaky punches. I don't think Floyd is losing to anything he can see coming, and the only thing unconventional about Provodnikov is the desire to eat bricks to throw with a guy.

i don't think floyd is going to throw a ton of volume in order to keep prov frozen. that's not really his style. he would get backed into the ropes like he always does but prov might not be able to land anything....that is until a leaping left hook has floyd convulsing on the canvas like an infantile ******.

He damn near went Wladimir on Guerrero with the holding early in the fight which discouraged him from pressuring Floyd.....I can only imagine Floyd clinching to the point of severe booing from the crowd if he fought Provodnikov.

Pretty much, maybe even a stoppage. Ruslan could probably beat Bradley and Marquez, maybe Maidana. He's probably #4 or #5 in the WW division for me behind Pac/FMJ, Thurman.

However, he might be No.1 in time at JWW with Danny losing to Herrera and Matthysse losing to Danny. Provo needs to fight Garcia, rematch Herrera and fight Matthysse.

Lol...Ruslan got excited at the possibility of that fight. I have no doubt he'd land on Mayweather early as his handspeed is underrated. Probably even hurt Floyd like Mosley did, before Floyd adjusted to the UD, but Ruslan would make it interesting for the first half of the fight.. much more so than Maidana who is slower and doesn't have the punch variety or body attack.

Style wise I would give Maidana more chances to win against Floyd than Prov. Not that I think Maidana can win over Prov. Not at all.

And funnier, I give Khan more chances to win than Maidana against Floyd. But sure as sunrise Prov would put Khan in a wheelchair permanently.
