it was certainly illegal, but i didn';t know it was on a scale and profiting to a level that would get him caught and jailed. he must have been pulling in good money from advertisements. that site had a lot of consistent traffic, and evidently the nutjob site was even more prolific.


i don't know jack sh#t about the laws over there. over here they'll get you for the "white collar crimes." tax evasion, the copyright laws that you violate, etc.


i still can't believe that the guru is in jail. i hope it's something from which he can bond out and that he doesn't see any extended time.

The amount of traffic must have made it impossible for the Authorities to ignore. A lot of broadcasters has lost a lot of revenue die to that particular site. Like you, I have little knowledge of UK law and legal system, but I would think that the prosecution would like to statue an example to deter others from cybercrime like this.

Uk police suck. There's burglaries going on near my parents home and they spending resources on this .

Same here. A lot of burglaries on my block. Some person I know had burglars break into there house at midnight and they held the family in their living room with knives and even took their kitchen knives to threaten them.

The police can't even crackdown on them and the scouts always leave a mark on the next potential house.
