that's why Bradley isn't getting any credit
Joel is becoming as big of a cunt as Bradley now
Bradley didn't rob Pac, the judges robbed him.

    • What are they not getting credit for, they are recolonized as some of the top boxers today. Mayweather, Ward, Bradley what should else should we recognize them for?

Peep game.....here's an example of what I mean

Ward whooped all the relevant 168 pounders decisively.....no debating!!....but I heard cats calling Froch the man at the weight and then I heard some clowns saying Triple G was a bigger star than Ward....drinking that media bs....those were just a few disrespectful things regarding Ward....there's much more

Bradley and Floyd are polar opposites.....but they share the same haters....this is not rocket science just a bunch of frauds playing DENIAL....that's all!!

Then you got the "Every race get criticism" crew coming through here huffing and puffing with nothing of substance....you fight your battles and we'll fight ours....stay outta the warzone if you're on that fake neutral ****....save that Rodney King **** for another argument....real talk!!

JD sparked a fuse....I been had the utmost respect for him, Now he's no doubt one of my favorite boxing people.....it took balls for him to say what he said around the people he said it around....respect!!
        This is some real talk..

This has to do with the PAC/ Floyd rivalry more than anything. In a way it's what runs this site, obviously I'm generalizing as there are many exceptions to this but for the most part people who support Floyd also support Bradley simply because he's fighting PAC and already a "win" over PAC. The backlash of this support is to hate on Bradley from people on the other side of the fence.

It's the same thing with Marquez, he ko's PAC and suddenly all the Floyd fans are supporting JMM and defending him during PED allegations. It's more than likely going to happen to Canelo as well in hopes he doesn't turn out to be a hypejob while others want to discredit Floyd's win. It's not as much to do with race more so the same never ending rivalry of PAC and Floyd. Just look at recent fights or proposed fights; Garcia/Lucas, Maidana/ Broner, Stevenson/Kovalev, GGG/ whoever he faces."brawler and "boxer" for the most part it's always the same people on either side of the fence.

Floyd and Ward get respect but their fights aren't the most exciting. It's just the truth. It's not like they're being treated like Rigo by fans, their promoters and the networks they fight on. Their making good money are ranked 1 and 2. What else do you want??? You don't have to be a face first brawler either. Cotto isn't one but he's still an exciting fighter right??? In this day and age the black athlete gets a lot praise and respect IMO.

Bradley claims he won, so he's guilty as the judges are
the guy is shameless; won't admit what the whole world knows
he's not innocent or sympathetic in that debacle at all

Yeah I agree with you that there were plenty of injustices in the sport of boxing, in America and around the world for black athletes. Now I'm not saying that racism and bigotry don't exist anymore, because they will never NOT exist. That's humanity. What I will say though is that I don't think there is much institutional racism like there was back then when guys like Lamatta were around. I don't see people refusing to put up a fight because of the color of somebody's skin, and I think that's been the case for a while now.

I'll ask something else. Does anybody honestly believe that if there was a white fighter just like Bradley in the USA that he'd get much credit? I personally don't see it because most Americans care about guys who can knock people out or who provide some sort of entertainment value by talking ****. I'm a fan of Bradley cause he's hard but he isn't exactly captivating.

I do think that there are pre-conceived notions about black fighters, mexican fighters, russian and british fighters to name a few. And often times they turn out true, but there are always guys that do things differently of every race/ethnicity/nation. James Kirkland is a ****ing mauler who threw a record number of power punches in his last fight who could be compared more favorably to Kovalev and Provodnokov stylistically than many other popular black fighters. That's just one example.

                • AA fans doesn't give enough credit to non-AA fighters as well so it should just balance out...only 1 side is crying though

You're really gonna bring up Gene Tunney, who's last fight was in what....1926? Joel Diaz is talking about NOW in regards to his fighter, Timothy Bradley. It is true that many, many, many black athletes never got credit till long after their careers were over because of the color of their skin. They also didn't get the opportunities they should have. This is common knowledge.

Rigondeaux could box circles around Timothy Bradley. He makes Bradley look like a complete novice.
