Three writers for BoxingScene.com — Thomas Hauser, Thomas Gerbasi and David P. Greisman — have been recognized in this year’s “Bernies” competition, which awards the best boxing writing among members of the Boxing Writers Association of America.
Hauser won first place in the investigative reporting category for “Magomed Abdusalamov and the Dark Side of Boxing,” an in-depth examination of the night that left the heavyweight prospect hospitalized and in a medically induced coma.
