I that's not the case, then MGM violated Floyd's third party contract.
MGM fucked up either way.Comment

People in the boxing media said a lot of Floyd's stuff was taken down and Pac/Bradley stuff were put up after Bob's rant. So it would appear that MGM did neglect Top Rank and the Stuff they can't do anything about is still up.

Bob didn't just stumble upon this stuff yesterday. He had to know this stuff was up for a while. TR staff has been in Vegas for over a week. The Tecate people obviously knew as well.
My guess (purely speculative) is he knew through his meetings with MGM the Floyd promotional items would be coming down Thurs/Fri and timed his rant apprpopriately.
Gotta say you are well informed. Keep up with the great info you provide.Comment

OK. Maybe they left enough up to not violate the contract.

As for when you said they were taking the FLoyd stuff down Friday, why would they be doing that and putting Pac stuff with less than 4 days to spare? There really isn't much promotional value there doing that at the last second.
I heard Floyd just purchased the ad space outside (50 foot banner).
If Arum really is in trouble with Tecate, he'll just bring it around to the MGM
I keep my ear to the groundComment

1000000000%. I have covered fights in this buidling for almost 15 years. I think I have probably covered at least 50 shows here. I have never seen anything like that in my life and I don't blame him for being outraged. And it's not like, hey, there's a Mayweather-Maidana poster over there or a table felt over there. No. This was blatant. Signage for that fight was all over and there was almost nothing on Pacquaio-Bradley other than in the main lobby. It was sooooo obvious. I mean literally right by the media center and near the main arena doors were huge Mayweather-Maidana signs. Keep in mind that it's a huge issue for Top Rank because Tecate pays millions to sponsor the event and Mayweather-Maidana is sponsored by Corona, it's rival. It'd be like going to a McDonadd's and seeing Burger King stuff everywhere. Arum was absolutely right, although maybe he could have handled it better. But MGM, which I love, really messed this up very badly this week.Comment

Dan Rafael agrees with you:

Mandalay Bay has a great arena and is a great property. It is owned by MGM after the company bought Mandalay and its properties several years ago. So the same management controls both arenas. Arum said he actually wanted to have this fight at Mandalay, in part to avoid being where MGM has a contracted giant banner of Floyd hanging from the side of the building advertising a Showtime PPV event. He told me the MGM insisted he go to MGM and promised to make up for the Mayweather banner (which it can't take down because of their contract). So Arum agreed and, well, how'd that work out?
Seems the banner had to stay but the other stuff could go and Bob knew this.Comment
