Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz announced via his Twitter account that terms have been reached for a rematch between former world champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., and Filipino Marvin Sonsona. The featherweight bout will take place on June 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York, a card headlined by lineal middleweight champion Sergio Martinez in his ring return versus former three-division champion Miguel Cotto.

Lewkowicz serves as Sonsona's promoter and also as the longtime adviser to Martinez. Vazquez Jr. is promoted by Promociones Miguel Cotto.
