  • If Froch beat Groves should he become #1 in the 168 rankings?

Obviously Ward has his number h2h, but in terms of activity Froch will have wins over Bute, Kessler, Mack and Groves X2

Ward has jawson and robertez or whatever he's called

Their fight was almost 3 years ago, and Ward hasn't done anything since and hasn't got anything in the pipeline, so....

Yes he will, in British rankings, made by British people.

In the real world Andre Ward is the kingpin of Super Middleweight division.

No, he needs to beat Andre Ward to be the #1 SMW.

That's clear. But will Ward ever fight (at 168) again?

The guy has spoken of retirement and is in a legal dispute with his promoter, Dan Goossen.

Andre Ward is overrated as **** at the moment. He hasn't done much and doesn't deserve his ratings.

He can't and won't be fighting for a lot longer now that he's in that dispute he's in with his manager or promoter. So as far as I'm concerned, Froch is #1.

I don't think so, but it might be time to move Froch to no. 1 should he win.

Yes, Ward said he was for 20 years now in the sport...
Ward doesn't like to fight -- that's the main problem... While in the ring, he doesn't display the joy of fighting -- as for instance Bradley displays...

The only problem I have with Ward is that he never fights. He's clearly the best, but since Froch in 2011. 2011 folks! - He hasn't faced a top SMW.

All the while, Froch has been fighting the likes of Bute (who some thought was better than Ward), Kessler, Groves (twice soon) etc.

There's no question that Froch's resume is better than Ward's. If Ward keeps being this inactive, the championship should become vacant - and if Froch beats Groves - he could be up for the vacant title.

This won't happen though, as even if Ward didn't fight for the next two years (which might happen, you never know) people will still tell us about how he beat Froch in 2011 and is rightfully the champ by lineage.

                    This is true.

Ward has a very odd pshyche

He wants it all handed to him, he feels he has put in the work and should now reap the rewards

Why should he prove himself more? Where are the adoring fans, where are the multi million dollar pay days, where is the MGM Grand?

Ward feels he earned it, and unless he gets it, screw boxing.

                    strange attitude he has
