You mean from the Mayweather gym? If not, then you just haven't seen enough boxing. The style has been successfully used in boxing for well over half a century and there are a lot of guys that do it, and have done it, brilliantly.

Everyone has their own style, so guys that this general defense aren't just going to look like a Floyd by default.

DLH for example improved greatly under Floyd Sr. Thought he did some of his best work with him, even though he lost his share of bouts.

Didn't De La Hoya say in his book that Sr was the best trainer he ever worked with? That's very high praise considering all the big names that he brought in to train him over the years.
