Comments Thread For: Fedor Chudinov vs. Andy Perez Added To 5/17 WBA Card

Rapidly rising Russian super middleweight Fedor Chudinov (10-0, 8 KOs) will undergo his next professional test on May 17 in the Dominican Republic. Chudinov, 26, a hard-hitting boxer-puncher and a younger brother of middleweight Dmitry Chudinov, is set to face fellow undefeated Dominican Andy Perez (19-0, 18 KOs) as a part of the annual “WBA KOs Drugs” power show. Don't know a thing about Perez cept what I can find on Boxrec indicating that his impressive 19 (18) is entirely against guys with on the whole Zero wins or at best badly losing records and he's never fought outside of the DR.

Fedor is gradually starting to make a little noise at SMW and is maybe even starting to outstrip more feted brother Dmitry (campaigning at 160). On paper this shouldn't be too tough for Fedor though of course with unbeaten fighters you never do know.

You can find a lot of undefeated boxers with nice-looking records and high K.O ratios in countries like the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Brazil, Colombia, etc. They build impressive records on very weak opposition, beating almost exclusively opponents with losing records and even winless opponents (especially true for the D.R. and Ghana).
These boxers generally lose (often by K.O) as soon as they fight outside of their home country.

Check out some of these blue-chip prospects:
