Japan's Naoya Inoue dethroned World Boxing Council light-flyweight champion Adrian Hernandez of Mexico with a technical knockout in Tokyo on Sunday in just his sixth professional bout.

Inoue, who turns 21 on Thursday, remained the aggressor from the opening bell and floored the Mexican with a right straight to the face in the sixth round.

Canadian referee Mike Griffin gave the fight to the Japanese fighter by technical knockout at 2:54 into the round.

Hmmm no excuses from Hernandez. I'm gonna have to watch this fight for sure.

I hope he realizes he can't keep losing in his opponents' home country and expect them all to rematch him when he loses.

Hernandez shouldn't get a rematch...his past 2 opponents, Rivera & Kakutani, were 105#er's moving up 4 a pay day...Hernandez fought a guy his own wt, 2 me seemed he had cut a lotta weight the way he looked @ the weighin...Adrian has always been a face 1st guy..let's give the new champ a chance 2 defend 1st, then a rematch is ok after Hernandez fights another contender, not a setups as in his past 2....
